This specialised Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) treatment, performed using the internationally recognised Dr. Vodder Method, is designed to prepare your lymphatic system and the surgical area before your procedure. The treatment begins by gently stimulating the body's main lymphatic pathways using light, rhythmic movements to encourage healthy lymph flow throughout the entire lymphatic system. Once the system has been prepared, special attention is given to the area where your surgery will take place. This helps optimise tissue quality, support your body's natural immune and healing functions, and create the best possible environment for your upcoming surgery. Suitable Before This treatment is suitable before liposuction, tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), breast augmentation, breast reduction or lift, facelift, neck lift, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), arm or thigh lift, body contouring procedures, and most other cosmetic or reconstructive surgeries. When to Book One treatment session is recommended within 10 days before your scheduled surgery, ideally between 3 and 10 days before your procedure. Before Your Appointment There is no need to drink excessive amounts of water before your appointment. As part of the treatment, we work on the abdominal area to stimulate the body's main lymphatic pathways, and arriving overly hydrated may feel uncomfortable. After your treatment, it is important to drink approximately 2 litres of water over the following few hours to support healthy lymphatic function. This is a skin-to-skin treatment, as direct contact is essential for effective Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
